ABOUT THE PROJECT

Project “CBC partnership Tsenovo – Hotarele – Greaca against nature risks” is co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund under the Interreg V-A Romania – Bulgaria Programme, Priority Axis 3: A safe region, Specific Objective 3.1.: To improve joint risk management in the cross-border area.

EU Value Contribution: 705 486.54 EURO
The main objective of the project is to improve joint risk management in the CBC area through the development and adoption of a joint cross-border partnership between Tsenovo Municipality, Hotarele Commune and Greaca Commune so that they can better co-ordinate and react efficiently in emergency situations caused by natural disasters, such as flood, fire, heat waves, landslides, rain/snow storms, etc.

PA 3 – R3.1 – The quality of the joint risk management in the CBC area

854.258,98 euro, out of which 85% are from ERDF, 13% from the State budgets of Romania and Bulgaria, and 2% represents own contribution of the beneficiaries.

Project status: The project has been finalized

Project Results:

  • Organization of 3 awareness campaigns (public debates, seminars in schools, first aid preparing seminars, round tables, seminars with the personnel from the local public institutions);

  • Procurement of 10 first aid kits;

  • Lead Beneficiary – Procurement of specialized intervention equipment: 1 specialized automobile, 1 snow blade for removing snow and a device for dissipating the snow, 1 equipment for the prevention of landslides, floods, and forest fires.

  • Beneficiary 2 – Procurement of specialized intervention equipment: 1 backhoe și 1 tractor

  • Beneficiary 3 – Procurement of specialized intervention equipment: 1 tractor with snow blade, trailer and snow blower

  • Elaboration of a common strategy on better co-ordination and efficient reactions of a joint cross-border partnership between Tsenovo Municipality, Hotarele Commune and Greaca Commune

  • Elaboration of a common study on risk management in the Romania-Bulgaria cross-border region;

  • Creation of an IT platform for the prevention of risks, mitigation and coordination;

  • Organization of 2 opening press conferences and 2 closing press conferences;

  • Publication of 27 press releases;

  • Elaboration of promotional materials: leaflets, posters, folders, pens, notebooks, T-shirts, caps.

  • Procurement of a multifunctional equipment, 3 laptops, 3 mobile phones, 9 software packs.
